Located in the center of Faro, the Church of Our Lady of the Foot of the Cross is a small but enchanting hidden church. Two resident storks watch over passersby in this picturesque and quiet part of the city.

This unique representation of God is found at the back of the church, surrounded by wrought iron grilles but still perfectly in view. The baroque-style religious building was built in the mid-17th century.

The Church of Our Lady of the Foot of the Cross offers an excellent view of the city to all visitors. Car access is also possible and it does so easily to Rua Brites de Almeida 23, 8000-466 Faro.
