Nice local Portuguese food with a vibrant atmosphere. Every time we are in Lisboa we come to this place. It’s been around for over 20 years and just serves nice local dishes. We usually get the Bifana with chips. It’s a simple dish but tasty. Wash it down with a red and you’re set for the day. Service is friendly and professional. You can either choose to sit or stand to eat your meal. When you pay, it’s a itemised bill and you can check the prices!

This place has a diner vibe — but in Portuguese, some people sit, others eat standing at the counter, and plenty grab food to go. I tried the bifana, it was decent(don’t forget to put mustard), though my friend recommended the prego (the beef version). The pudding cake was a nice finishing touch. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and not store bought.

The worst experience in Lisbon. The bifanas just so so, the pork is a bit dry and tastes nothing special. The worst part comes with surprise. The man who service is very friendly, old man with glasses. Everything goes fine when he brings the bill. Nothing, it is nothing match with the price book. He add up the price manually. When we find out, he said there are 2 prices, when we sit by the price go up. It is fine but it still doesn’t match. I checked one by one, it was around 10% higher at the table, but on his personal bill, 30% higher. It is a scam! There are lots of Bifanas in town, if you do not want to ruin your mood, never try this restaurant.

Be very careful on how this restaurant charges Asian tourists. Ordered a Bifana (no price listed, should be €3 for just sandwich, maybe add €3 for the frites) and small steak (€8.90 as per menu with tax included), one coke zero and one bottle of Aqua, and the bill came to a grand total of €33.30. Taste of bifana was bland - have to add sauce. The steak was also very bland and quality of meat used is probably not fresh, though sizable. Should have asked for breakdown and heeded previous reviews about this place being a tourist trap. Well, I learnt it the hard way. And sharing here so you don’t have to! (Added receipt as proof)

We visited this restaurant as a tourist, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. They seemed to charge higher prices once they realized we wasn’t local, which felt quite unfair. The sweets were disappointing and not well, and the staff’s attitude wasn’t particularly friendly either. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to other travelers.
