Belém in 4 hours: monuments, the Tagus, and custard tarts

by Dá nas Vistas Date to agree Jerónimos Monastery Public

Description

A relaxed four-hour walk through Belém, linking three existing attractions associated with Lisbon's maritime history and one of the city's best-known flavors. The route begins at Jerónimos Monastery, pauses for a custard tart, and then follows the Tagus to Belém Tower.

The walking distance is about 2.5 km, mostly flat and along gardens or the riverfront. Monument opening times and entry queues can change, so check official information before setting out. If you visit both paid interiors, allow extra time or shorten the riverside pauses.
