Denver in one day: circular route through LoDo, museums, parks, and RiNo

by Dá nas Vistas Date to agree Union Station Public

Description

A full-day circular route through Denver, starting and ending at Union Station. The plan links historic LoDo, Larimer Square, the Civic Center and Capitol area, the Denver Art Museum, Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, the Denver Botanic Gardens, Cherry Creek, City Park, and RiNo Arts District.

The day works best from about 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, using walking for the compact downtown and park sections, then rideshare or car for longer neighborhood hops. It keeps backtracking low while leaving enough time for breakfast, art, parks, shopping, dinner, and evening street art.

Estimated travel: expect around 4 to 5 miles of walking, plus 20 to 30 minutes total in rideshares or by car. The full circuit covers roughly 15 to 18 miles across Denver.

Optional additions, if time permits: Denver Zoo or the Denver Museum of Nature & Science near City Park, or Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre as a separate half-day trip.

Suggested packing: comfortable walking shoes, water, sunglasses, sunscreen, a light jacket, and a camera or smartphone.
