Back to travel plan
A circular 4-hour route through central Denver, designed to connect historic LoDo, a classic city street, civic architecture, art, and a waterside pause. It is a balanced plan for getting a feel for the city without leaving downtown or needing a car.
In total, expect around 6 to 7 km on foot, roughly 1h20 to 1h30 of walking, and the rest of the time for short visits, photos, and breaks. The plan works best with comfortable shoes and some flexibility at the Denver Art Museum: if you want a slower museum visit, trim a few minutes from the earlier stops.

Note
Alternative plan by car
If you prefer to drive, consider swapping part of the downtown time for Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, about 25 to 30 minutes from Denver without traffic. In that case, keep Union Station, Larimer Square, and the Civic Center/Capitol area as shorter stops.
