"Situated on the banks of the Alva River, this is one of the most emblematic villages of the Arganil municipality. It boasts a vast set of monuments and public spaces, including the Largo da Igreja Matriz, the Largo do Pelourinho, the Solar dos Condes da Guarda, the Solar Abreu Mesquita, the Osórios Cabrais building, the Quinhentista Street, the Parochial Church built in 1712, the Misericórdia Church and the Santo António Convent. As natural attractions, it offers the lush vegetation of the surrounding mountains and the fluvial beaches of the Alva River."
