Situated in a small hill called Serra do Muradal, surrounded by the Zêzere River, this village has five parks: a children's park, a sports park, a leisure park, a riverside park and a campsite park. It is part of PR4 PPS Ground Trail (The Xisto Path from Janeiro de Baixo). As part of its historical heritage, it holds chapels, alminha (a Portuguese term for a warm place for shelter), a mill carved into the rock, a platform of traditional animal ironwork and traditional furnaces.
