Freguesia de Sobral de São Miguel, Município de Covilhã
"It is a village whose origins date back to Roman times, always associated with the Salt Route and later with the volframio extraction mines. It is located next to Ribeira do Porsim and can be used as a starting point for exploring the Serra do Açor. It offers historical attractions such as the Caratão Bridge, through which the Salt Route passed, the João dos Santos Museum House, an olive mill, and various communal ovens and an old farrier trunk. Its gastronomic heritage includes ginja, chorizo pica, sardines or cod, honey and wood-fired bread."
