Hidden among the lush greenery of Travassós, in the municipality of Fafe, Baloiço do Vizela is a peaceful riverside spot that feels wonderfully secluded. Set above a small watercourse of the Vizela River, this swing offers a different kind of experience from the more common hilltop panoramic swings: here, the charm lies in the intimacy of the forest, the sound of running water and the cool shade of the trees.
The setting is especially picturesque, with moss-covered stones, dense vegetation, a small wooden bridge and a gentle cascade flowing beneath or nearby. In spring and summer, the surrounding greenery becomes particularly vibrant, while autumn brings warm golden and brown tones to the woodland landscape.
Access is part of the experience: after crossing a bridge, visitors follow a short walking path beside the river, with the swing located around 100 metres ahead.
