Well maintained trail. Its the dry season so no water in the gully. Starts off on a boardwalk and moves to a trail. After a while it goes through a park, under a bridge and to a quinta. Nice views with some sheep, and goats at spots. Be sure to follow the tree/rock markings for directions. Red and yellow straight line- go straight. If the red line has an arrow to turn- follow it to stay on the path. Do not go in where the (x)'s are. The hike is 2hrs one way. If you make it to the main road at the end you can usually get Uber if you dont want to walk the whole way back. Took us 2.5 hours to do the whole trail and get back roadside. We are medium pace hikers. Provided a quick map view of how far the trail goes. Blue line is the distance. Nice views and highly reccomended for some quiet time in nature.

The 7km trail is very well-maintained, with signs everywhere along the way. During the whole trail, the river flows right next to the path and the sound and breeziness that it emits are amazing. There are some houses there, so please be mindful of the residents.

Terrible experience. It has nothing to do with vineyard. It is an open sewage next to the footpath. Full of dogshit on the pathway also. And the smell, discusting!! I almost felt sick to my stomach.

Amazingly beautiful walk. Took an uber to see the Dam and lake at Barragem do Rio da Mula. From there I walked to what is the end of the trail to start my walk back to Cascais. Path was loose underfoot in places but generally very good. Take plenty of water with you as it was hot. Bonus doing it this way is its down hill to the sea and town for a late snack, beer and swim in the sea.

Love love love this trail. So peaceful and just a nice walking trail to be enjoyed by all. It’s just behind the Mercado parking lot. Walk up the street about a block or so and you will run into it.
