Miradouro Serra do Bando (Mação) is located at an altitude of 630 meters on the Bando dos Santos range. It is a viewpoint with more than 100 kilometers of horizon. The surroundings include views of three regions: Beira Baixa, Alentejo Alto and Ribatejo, and you can spot Lousã, Moradal, Estrela, Gardunha, Portas de Rodão, Spain, São Mamede, and Marvão. It is a spectacular place with breathtaking views, where peace and tranquility abound. It is also an excellent spot to go for a long walk and practice sports such as mountain biking and paragliding. The PR2-MAC-ROTA DO BREJO E BANDO DOS SANTOS also passes by here. The recommended access starts from the village of Castelo, along an asphalted road, up to the Parque de Merendas. From here, there is a dirt road. The Panoramic Swing of Serra do Bando can also be found in this place, said to be the highest swing of the district of Santarém.
