"The Miradouro das Velas offers an amazing view of the sunset. At sunset, the view from this viewpoint over the Vila das Velas, Pico and Faial is stunning. Located in Ribeira do Almeida, parish of Santo Amaro, this viewpoint offers a privileged view of the Vila das Velas. From here you can see the fantastic channel that separates São Jorge from Pico and Faial, and it is possible to appreciate these two neighboring islands that, together with São Jorge, make up the so-called Triangle."
