Nestled in the heart of Porto, Odete Bakery is a true local treasure, a delightful discovery for anyone seeking authentic and exceptionally tasty vegan treats. It’s a genuinely charming little bakery, brimming with warmth and the inviting aroma of freshly baked goods.

Let’s talk about the star of the show: the Pastel de Nata. I was genuinely surprised – and delighted – to find a vegan version that truly rivals the traditional. The texture and flavour are remarkably close, a testament to Odete’s dedication to crafting exceptional pastries. It's a must-try!

But don’t just stick to the natas! I wholeheartedly recommend the brioche tofu sandwich. The bread itself is incredible, a sourdough base that provides a wonderfully complex flavour and satisfying chew. Combined with perfectly grilled tofu, caramelized onions, and eggplant, it’s a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. Everything is made entirely vegan, showcasing how delicious plant-based food can be.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. It’s a truly special place, and I urge you to seek it out – you won't be disappointed!
