"The Castle of Valhelhas, or what remains of it, is situated on a small elevation, in the municipality of Guarda, in the parish of Valhelhas. All that remains of this castle is a wall, the local cemetery and the stones that serve as the foundation of the walls of some of the houses of the population residing there today."
