The Valdosa Swing is one of Coimbra's well-kept secrets that surprises every visitor. Installed on a hilltop in the Santa Clara area, this metal arch-shaped swing decorated with two romantic silhouettes offers one of the most beautiful views of the city, with the Mondego River cutting through the landscape and the historic houses shining in the background. Although access is not yet fully optimised — some visitors mention poorly signposted paths and areas that could be better maintained — the scenery makes up for everything: here, the view opens up wide, perfect for photographs, moments of pause or simply swinging while enjoying Coimbra in all its elegance.
