Tsingy De Bemaraha National Park
Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, a truly remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site located in Madagascar, presents a landscape unlike any other. This extraordinary park is defined by its ‘tsingy’ – a word from the Malagasy language meaning “where one cannot walk barefoot.” These formations are composed of incredibly sharp, needle-like limestone spires, sculpted over millennia by the relentless erosion of ancient bedrock. The result is a dramatic, almost surreal forest of stone, offering a challenging yet profoundly rewarding experience for those who venture within.
Beyond its geological wonders, Tsingy de Bemaraha is a haven of biodiversity. The rugged terrain, encompassing deep canyons, towering ridges, and dense forests, supports a diverse array of endemic species, including various lemurs, birds, and unique plant life. Visitors can explore trails that wind through this challenging environment, encountering the beauty of this isolated region. It’s important to note that a harness and safety equipment are provided for traversing certain sections, particularly those involving steeper inclines – a high level of fitness and a degree of comfort with heights are recommended. The park is accessible from the village of Bekopaka, approximately one hour and seventeen kilometers by car. Many visitors describe the experience as breathtaking, and the views from the higher reaches are truly spectacular, offering a genuine sense of adventure and connection with nature.
Recent reviews highlight the park’s astonishing beauty and the challenges presented by the terrain, with many praising the unique opportunity to explore this remarkable landscape.

Trasa to około 4-5km.
