"Teixeirô stands out as one of the most impressive viewpoints of the territory of the Romanesque Route. Overlooking the Douro River at the mouth of Bestança, this viewpoint allows to contemplate various objects of interest from the councils of Baião and Cinfães: the Pala Reservoir, resulting from the construction of the Carrapatelo dam; the Aldeias de Portugal of Porto Manso and Boassas; the Monastery of Ancede; the Douro railway line; the Mosteirô bridge, conceived by the famous engineer Edgar Cardoso (1913-2000), and the Porto Antigo quay."
