The village is almost at the mouth of the Bestança, a tributary of the Douro that rises in the Montemuro Mountains and is considered one of the cleanest rivers in Europe. These days, there is an extra reason to head to the Canhão de Pias, right next door, in Cinco Rodas: the Baloiço do Bestança, created by a group of young people, quite simple, but that has been delighting those who visit it."
