Swings are usually places for leisure, but when set in the right environment can also become places of reflection. That's the case of the Penedros Swing in Lamas de Ferreira. The author of the project, a young local, says that “it is a place to relax, feel, think and have some sport but there's much more to see around the swing than just the swing itself”. The area where the structure is located is called Penedros da Cabeça (Head Rock) for a very simple reason: there are several stone heads scattered around — such as Mudo’s Head, Blind’s Head, Man’s Head, Lizard’s Head, and Dragon’s Head.
