"The Swing of the Monastery of São Pedro de Ferreira is located in the Ferreira Civic Center and Leisure Park, Ferreira. It belongs to the municipality of Paços de Ferreira, Porto district, North Region. The Church of the Monastery of São Pedro de Ferreira is one of the most expressive monuments of Portuguese Romanesque. In the late twelfth century, the canons of the Porto See held rights over a portion of the Monastery, the remaining parcels belonging to some of the noble families of this territory, such as Sousas [or Sousões] and Maias.
