The "Baloiço da Esperança (Sernancelhe)" is the newest river beach in northern Portugal. It is, however, quickly gaining admirers from all over the region. The Vila da Ponte Beach is the result of almost two decades of municipal planning, which started with the construction of the Távora Dam, the creation of the Festivals and Sports Space and the construction of the Steel Bridge over the Ferreirim River; and that now offers floating pools, footbridges and a unique pedestrian circuit that can reach 10 kilometers in total.
