Especially during rainy season this gives the best effect. The drive itself is incredibly scenic, and visitors can stop at the rest area to freshen up and take in the views from the observation deck. You can also see another bent bridge from the deck too.
Indrukwekkend. We kwamen vanuit het noorden, dan lijkt het net een ski schans :-). Net voor de brug is er een mooie kleine wandelroute rond een schiereiland. Leek rolstoelvriendelijk.

We drove the Atlantic Ocean Road on a windy day, and it felt like an adventure movie scene. The waves were splashing against the rocks, the sea spray hit the car windows, and every curve opened to a breathtaking new view. It’s a short drive, but one of the most unforgettable.
Vol verwachting de route gereden op zoek naar de spectaculaire brug. Bleek dat we er al overheen waren gereden 😂 Viel een beetje tegen dus. De rest van Noorwegen vonden we wel spectaculair 😁
