Located at the top of Monte de Santo Estêvão, in Lamego, the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios is one of the Douro's landmarks and one of the most impressive Baroque temples in Portugal. The climb is made via an imposing monumental staircase, decorated with fountains, statues and tile panels that make each landing a mandatory stop to enjoy the view.
