Saia da Torre na estrada e vire à esquerda em direção a Seia. Percorra cerca de 3km nesta estrada, passando pela Estação de Esqui e apanhe a estrada de macadame que desce entre rochas e seixos. Continue até ao Covão do Meio onde a partir daí a caminhada se torna inevitável. Caminhe ao longo da passarela na parede rochosa e desça as escadas até o rio. Atravesse o Covão da Nave e deixe-se levar até ao Covão da Areia continuando no trilho até Loriga.

Lagoa of glacier origin, located about 1800 meters above sea level, near Torre. This lake was artificialized through the construction of a dam, constituting today one of the highest water reservoirs of the Serra da Estrela. Despite the modifications it has undergone, its surroundings are rich in habitats that are a priority for nature conservation, such as beech forests, peat bogs, junipers and rock communities. In this lake it is sometimes possible to observe the rare black stork, which looks here for fish, amphibians and reptiles that include their diet.
