Sarrabulho - The Açude (Ponte de Lima)

Address
Centro Náutico de Ponte de Lima, Arcozelo, Ponte de Lima

"Sarrabulho - The Açude (Ponte de Lima) is a gastronomy specialty typical of northern Portugal, whose origin dates back to the crisis after the Black Plague, where the only food was bread that was combined with the blood offered by those who had pigs, and then the bread was slowly cooked with blood. Nowadays, the recipe is more elaborated and, besides these ingredients, it also includes rice and pieces of pork meat."
