The Monte de Santo Ovidio, where the namesake chapel and a wooden swing are located, is an excellent viewpoint of the agricultural landscape and, on clear days, you can see the pine forests of Mindelo and the Atlantic coastline. In this place is located the Castro do Boi, an important fortification of the Middle Ages, having been the castle that militarily dominated virtually the entire south of Vila do Conde municipality. However, the ceramological analysis of the place allows us to understand that it was a castle before it was a castle.
