The Church of Santa Maria Madalena, located in the parish of Madalena on the island of Pico in the Azores, is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. A wonderful view of the village with the sea in the background makes the visit worthwhile. The old primitive church was characterized by three doors and two floors of windows, but lately it has been rebuilt with greater impressiveness. The altar has rich ornamentation and in the nave next to the altar there is a mosaic whose formation is composed of various elements. The large stained glass window alluding to Santa Maria Madalena makes the church even more magnificent.
