Sant'Ana Lookout/Belvedere (Ponte da Barca)

The Sant'Ana Cross is a viewpoint situated in the Union of the Parishes of Crasto, Ruivos and Grovelas. Grovelas began as a Portuguese parish of the municipality of Ponte da Barca. This parish belonged to the municipality of Aboim da Nóbrega until its extinction by decree of December 31, 1853. It was extinguished (aggregated) by the administrative reorganization of 2012/2013, with its territory being integrated into the Union of the Parishes of Crasto, Ruivos and Grovelas. Access to this viewpoint is made by a typical Portuguese cobblestone road and ends at the cross. From this cross we can admire the surrounding landscape, which is essentially composed of the Gerês Range. On the horizon, the lowlands of Minho and the Spanish mountains can be seen.
