Sand Swing (Celorico de Basto)

Hanging under the bridge that divides the village of Fermil de Basto from the parish of Corgo, the "Baloiço de Areia" promises good times of fun to those who dare to plunge into the refreshing waters of the Veade River!

With the frequent high temperatures recorded in Basto at this time of year, it is common to find this space full of people looking for some shade and a place to take a few dives.

So, the silence of the Fermil fluvial beach, which remains completely deserted throughout the year, is interrupted and the space comes to life in the summer months, filling with laughter and offering good memories to those who pass by.

In addition to the swing, you can find here a waterfall (more intense in winter months), an improvised water slide so you can enter the river in a more fun way, a float and a small beach bar.
