"The Castle of Salir is a military monument, located in the town and parish of Salir, in the municipality of Loulé, in the Algarve region of Portugal. It was built in the 12th century, during the Muslim era, and taken by the Christians in the mid-13th century, during the process of reconquest of the Algarve."
