Renaissance coastal fortress dated from 1552, being a polygonal-based construction with four bastions on the angles, prepared to receive artillery pieces and low-thickness curtain walls. Inside there is an arms square and, around it, a set of buildings of diverse times and configurations, now hosting a military history museum.
