The Rio Tinto Walkways, located in the municipality of Gondomar, are an excellent option for those seeking an outdoor escape without straying too far from the urban environment. This route follows the river that gives the place its name, offering an experience that combines tranquility, contact with nature, and proximity to the city.

The route stretches for around 8 km, from Rio Tinto to Freixo, passing through Parque Oriental. It is a beautiful walk along the banks of the Rio Tinto, which flows into the Douro River.

Along the route, visitors encounter a setting marked by riverside vegetation, green areas, and well-maintained paths, ideal for walks, light running, bicycle rides, or simply slowing down and appreciating the scenery. The accessibility of the route makes it suitable for different types of visitors, from families with children to people who practice regular physical activity.

One of the most interesting aspects of this space is precisely the contrast between its natural serenity and the surrounding urban context. In just a few minutes, it is possible to move from the fast pace of the city to a calmer environment, where the sound of the water and the presence of nature dominate the experience.

The route includes amenities that make the visit more comfortable, including support areas and rest points, making it a practical choice for a relaxed outing at any time of year.

Stainless!
