We visited this cafe 3 years ago, on the advice of the woman who provided us with a small apartment for several nights. Having enjoyed the experience and the francesinha, we looked for it again, having just completed the Camino Portugues. Somehow we managed to find it again. Again we shared the francesinha. which meant they added a fried egg on each half. We followed with a sangria, a cafe and a pasta de nata. We shared our story with the server. He said the gentleman who owned the cafe had recently passed away but his wife continued to run the cafe with family members. He brought us a small aperitif to end our meal. A wonderful experience at a genuine Porto cafe.
First time in Porto. I had to try the francesinha. Sure you will be tempted to go to the more popular places, but this little restaurant/café is all you need. Good price, excellent food, even better service. Thanks to my man taking care of me and offering a digestive at the end. Your service was 10/10 if I ever come back to Porto they will see me again.
A local, low profile restaurant not far from the crystal palace garden. The francesinha was the right size, with not too much sauce. You can always top up the sauce for free, and they're also generous with the cheese. The beef steak was also nice with the right amount of chips.
My first stop for food in porto as I was starving. I got the francesinha with egg and fries and honestly it was so good, the steak was medium rare and each layer was cooked great. I also saw them peeling potatoes which alot of restaurants in porto have frozen/pre cut fries. Service was great as well!!
Tried to eat a Fransesinha by myself but couldn’t finish it all. Something good to share with someone else. A place where locals enjoying going. Would not have thought to come here if it wasn’t for my cousin. It’s not fancy, service was good.
