Praia Nova, in Porches near Lagoa, is a small and scenic beach set beneath the cliffs of Vila Nossa Senhora da Rocha. Its golden sand, clear Atlantic water and sheltered feel make it a memorable stop along this stretch of the Algarve coast. At one end of the beach, a natural cave offers shade and a striking place to watch the waves break against the rocks, while the surrounding cliffs are ideal for a short coastal walk and photographs.

One of Praia Nova’s most distinctive features is the tunnel through the rock that connects it with the neighbouring Praia da Senhora da Rocha, adding a touch of adventure to a day by the sea.
