The Oural Viewpoint is located next to the Oural geodesic marker, on the border between Vila Verde, Ponte da Barca and Ponte de Lima. At an altitude of 700 meters, the rivers Covo, Neiva and Trovela originate here. Whoever arrives here will not be indifferent to the impressive diversity of landscape perspectives on the territories visible to the eye. Among the heather, juniper and cork oaks, the gaze fades into the vastness of the Minho mountains and 360º panoramas of the Douro and Minho ranges, namely the Arga (NW), Bico and Galiza mountains (N), Peneda and Soajao (NE), Amarela and Gerês (E), Cabreira and Alvão/Marão (SE) and Sameiro (S), as well as the Atlantic Coast (SW) between Póvoa de Varzim and Mindelo. The outcroppings and granitic forms also deserve special attention, as well as the talefe mound located 100 meters south of the geodesic marker.
