Our Lady of the Remedies is probably the most famous tourist attraction in the city of Nordeste, on the island of São Miguel, the Azores. Located on Regional Road 14, in the parish of Remedies, this emblematic church invites all to discover its millennia origins. The primitive hermitage of Our Lady of the Remedies was built in the 18th century. In the 19th century, due to a violent earthquake, the church was destroyed, only to be reconstructed at the end of the same century. It was elevated to a parish in the 19th century. Visit Our Lady of the Remedies to enjoy an unforgettable view of the sea, as well as to take advantage of a spectacular panoramic view.
