The Vela Viewpoint, as the name suggests, has a view over the Arado River Valley from the bow of a granite ship. Access to the site requires a walk of about 1.5 km (30 minutes) from Aldeia da Ermida, following the proper signage to the viewpoint, which is also part of the alternative route to PR14 - Sobreiral da Ermida do Gerês Trail, near the Cascata da Rajada.
