Maria Gomes Swing (Anadia)
Strategically built in a wine-landscape, the panoramic Maria Gomes swing aims to give another motivation for those who visit the Capital of the Espumante - Anadia.
On one side, there are the hills of São Lourenço do Bairro and Paredes do Bairro, with notable highlights in the Quinta do Encontro and Campo Largo. On the other, the vineyards of Óis do Bairro and Outeiro de Baixo, with highlights in Serra do Buçaco and Caramulo. Between these two grandscapes, there is the Eira Mill, which stands right next to Maria Gomes.
Rebuilt by Antoine Tavares, from Óis do Bairro and residing in Patinges, France.
"Why Maria Gomes? The people more knowledgeable on the subject quickly associate its signification. It's no coincidence that we are in a wine and sparkling wine region. Its name derives from one of the predominant grapes in Bairrada's territory. In truth, the name Maria Gomes adopted in Bairrada is no different from Fernão Pires."
