In Tendais
Located on the slopes of the Serra de Montemuro, in the parish of Tendais, at around 800 metres of altitude, the Marcelim Nature Observatory is a public space dedicated to landscape enjoyment and nature tourism.
Inaugurated in May 2022, it features two panoramic platforms with different angles: one oriented towards the Bestança river valley — considered one of the cleanest rivers in Europe — and another overlooking the mouth of the Bestança and the Douro river valley.
Across a redeveloped area of over 4,000 m², it includes wooden walkways, a natural amphitheatre, a playground, parking and restrooms. Accessibility is a central feature of the project, with a lift for visitors with reduced mobility. Several local wildlife species are signposted along the route.
It sits next to the EN 321 road connecting Cinfães to Viseu, near the Chapel of Nossa Senhora dos Milagres.

Apesar de ter ido num dia em que as nuvens tapavam a paisagem, numa das poucas abertas, ainda foi possível desfrutar de uma paisagem de enorme beleza. A destacar o cuidado em garantir o acesso a quem tem mobilidade reduzida. WC imaculado em termos de limpeza.

Antes do mirante de ferro, já se conseguia ver a paisagem. Agora vê-se exactamente a mesma paisagem, mas com um mirante de ferro.
