Leiria Cathedral is a touristic attraction of great interest to visit during a trip to the city. Built in the 16th century, it has 3 naves, a main altar and relevant dimensions, as well as interesting and high vaults. It can be easily accessed by car. Its interiors are superb, with high ceilings and a climate of tranquility and silence that can be sensed. The interior of this large temple was designed according to the Mannerist style, although most of its interior is late-Renaissance. Its main altar is filled with sculptures and paintings of value, although not illuminated. It is worth visiting to discover some traces of Gothic heritage. Located in the center of the city and with a view of it, Leiria Cathedral charms its visitors with a unique architectural ensemble in the region. It is a place to discover, beyond its detailed internal decoration, to be able to feel in harmony with the sacred atmosphere.
