The Senhora da Piedade Walkways, in Lousa, connect the town to the iconic Senhora da Piedade Tourist Complex along a safe and accessible pedestrian route with more than 1,200 metres.

The route begins at Cabo do Soito and follows the hillside with panoramic views over the town and the Serra da Lousa, leading visitors to some of the region's most emblematic sites, such as the natural pools, the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, and the Castle of Arouce, also known as Lousa Castle, which is classified as a National Monument.

In addition to the natural beauty and heritage value of the route, this walkway also serves as a connection point to several hiking trails in the Serra da Lousa, including paths that cross the town and lead to some of the well-known Schist Villages.

Ideal for a peaceful walk, photography, or as a starting point for exploring the region, this is one of the most interesting pedestrian routes in central Portugal.
