Es ist ganz nett aber kein Standard den man sich wünscht. Eine Sauna sehr in die Jahre gekommen undicht ansonsten gibt's da nix.
Wir waren heute zu 2 in der Sauna, die optisch sehr schön ist. Der Außenbereich ist gemütlich hergerichtet und lädt zum bleiben ein. Leider war die Sauna an sich nicht gut in Stand gehalten. Wir mussten erst einmal im Saunaraum fegen und auch dann wollte man nicht zu genau hinschschauen. Zu Beginn haben wir uns auch gewundert, dass das Thermometer nur 60C anzeigt und nicht steigt, doch dann haben wir die vielen Spalten in den Holzwänden entdeckt, die zwar immer sehr schmal waren aber dafür gesorgt haben, dass man auf der unteren Bank kaum ins schwitzen kam. Würden sie mehr Liebe in die Instandhaltung stecken würden wir gerne 5 Sterne geben, die Aussicht war nämlich wunderschön.
One of the best sauna experiences we had in Norway. It’s private, cantilevered over the fjord, and comes with robes, towels, and everything else you need to have a fabulous time on Balestrand. There’s a small staircase for jumping into and climbing out of the water, and the area outside has market lights and lawn chairs for those who’d like to spend some time not in the actual sauna. A must-do for anyone in town.

This is a spectacular sauna, like all the Heit saunas I have tried in the Bergen area! You can book a 1.5 slot on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. You can bring your own towel or pay a small fee to borrow one- pick it up from the Hotel Balestrand. It’s an electric sauna so the temperature stays consistent. Very spacious inside, can fit a lot of people! Small changing area inside the cabin Easy access to Balestrand beach below, so you can go for a dip and cool off, rinse and repeat! I highly recommend trying this lovely sauna when visiting the iconic village of Balestrand ❤️ 🔥
