Located in the Serra da Freita, the Frecha da Mizarela Waterfall (Arouca) has a height of 75 meters. Visitors can take a walk to the viewpoint in front of the waterfall, which swells up after summer storms and winter rains. The water volume can be small at certain times due to these variations. The place has a cafe, restaurant, terrace and hotel, and is close to other attractions such as the sítio das pedras parideiras. It is possible to descend a track to the base of the waterfall, but the route is steep, humid and difficult. Open 24 hours a day.
