The Quebrada Fort, also referred to as Reduto da Quebrada and Forte do Facheiro, is located on the Monte Brasil peninsula, in the parish of Sé, in the city and county of Angra do Heroísmo, on the south coast of the island of Terceira, in the Azores. Forte da Quebrada, Angra do Heroísmo. It is part of the defensive set of the Fortaleza de São João Baptista da Ilha Terceira, to the south, in the lap formed by the joining of the Zimbreiro mount to the mount of Fachos, in the only stretch where, even with difficulty, a climb could be done. At a low altitude, on the living rock next to the sea, its function was to prevent, at an angle dead from the fire of Forte de São Diogo and Santo António, any ship from hiding or finding shelter.
