Forte do Corpo Santo, also known as Castelo das Taipas, is located near the docks on Corpo Santo beach, in the parish of São Miguel, in the current municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, on the south coast of the island of São Miguel, in the Azores.

It is considered the first fortification to be built in the town.

In a dominant position over this stretch of coastline, it constituted a fortification to defend this anchorage from the attacks of pirates and corsairs, once frequent in this region of the Atlantic Ocean.
