Manteigaria in Porto is famous for a reason — their Pastel de Nata (custard tart) is an absolute must-eat while you’re in Portugal. Fresh, warm, perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy inside, it’s honestly one of the best you’ll have. This is one place you simply cannot miss. The staff was friendly and efficient, even as the place got quite busy, and service stayed smooth. They also serve great coffee, which pairs perfectly with the pastel de nata. Highly recommended and worth stopping by more than once during your trip to Porto!

Best Pastel de Nata's I have ever had and have tried them from a lot of different places. Its always busy here, not uncommon to see queues out the door but it doesn't take long. They are best when they are fresh out of the oven and you can watch them making the pastel de nata while you eat and have a cafe.

Manteigaria Porto is a must-visit! We had a pastel de nata and it was absolutely perfect—crispy, creamy, and fresh from the oven. The flavor is incredible and easily one of the best in Porto. The shop is clean, fast, and always buzzing with energy. You can even watch the bakers preparing the pastries, which makes the experience even better. If you’re looking for an amazing pastel de nata in Porto, Manteigaria is the place to go.

The tarts were decent but didn’t quite live up to others we’d had recently - the centers were a bit too runny and didn’t have the more set custard texture we prefer. The tarts also weren’t reheated and were served straight from the display. The space is mostly standing room and geared toward quick bites.

Manteigaria is an absolute must-visit in Porto. The service is quick, friendly, and efficient — even when there’s a line, it moves fast. The pastéis de nata are outstanding: crisp, flaky pastry with silky custard that’s perfectly balanced. Truly some of the best in Portugal. And don’t forget to enjoy a glass of Port with your pastry — it’s the perfect pairing. If you’re in Porto, this spot is a non-negotiable stop.
