We found ourselves returning again and again during our stay, consistently impressed by the quality. These aren’t just any pastel de nata; they’re a perfect balance – incredibly soft with a delightfully crunchy exterior, subtly sweet, and, crucially, served piping hot. They truly melt in your mouth! The workshop itself has a beautiful, clean, and modern aesthetic, offering a pleasant space to enjoy your treat with a coffee or chocolate, or to grab a box to take away.
Castro enjoys immense popularity among both locals and tourists because their natas are reliably exceptional. We’ve explored numerous pastelarias in Porto over the years, and we’ve consistently purchased at least ten boxes from this establishment. Located on Rua Mouzinho da Silveira, 61, they operate from 9am to 8pm daily, producing some of the finest custard tarts you’ll find in the city and surrounding areas.
