Church of St. John of God (Lisbon)

Address
R. Brás Pacheco 4, 1000-074 Lisboa

The Church of Saint John of God, located in R. Brás Pacheco 4, in the municipality of Lisbon, was built in 1953. It is precisely in the area where there was a dairy. It is a church of great beauty, located in the center of the city with a spectacular view of the city that surrounds it.

The architecture of the church is something unique, thinking about the approach of the faithful to the altar. Its interior and exterior are gorgeous, transmitting a feeling of tranquility. Inside this church it is possible to light electric or wax candles.

The work was the result of three great artists, being the architect António Lino, the painter Domingos Rebelo who painted the episode of the life of Saint John of God and the sculptors Soares Branco and Soares de Almeida.

It is possible to access this church by car, however you will have to park in a distant place. Visit and experience the feeling of tranquility and lightness that is found in this architectural masterpiece!
