In Porto
The Church of São Martinho de Lordelo, located in Rua das Condominhas in Porto, is at the heart of the city and offers a spectacular view. Construction began in 1764 on a smaller chapel, and the French invasions and the siege of Porto contributed significantly to the delay in completion of the works, which was increased in 1867 with the construction of the bell tower. In its exterior, the church was covered in tiles in 1888, thanks to the former Massarelos Ceramics Factory. In addition to the beauty of its inner walls, its interior was also covered in 1949, and was remodeled in 1982. Since transportation and parking are close to the church, it can be visited relatively easily. In the niche located above the main door we find the presence of its patron saint, St. Martin, ideal for those who seek a place full of hope, history and beauty. Appreciating the beauty of the tiles and sculpture, visiting the Church of São Martinho de Lordelo is always an excellent option for those visiting Porto.
