In Porto
The Church of São Lourenço is one of Porto's iconic monuments, located in Largo do Colégio, next to the Cathedral. It is said that it was built in 1577, with its original neoclassical construction still visible from the outside. The Church of São Lourenço also has Mannerist and Baroque features, being connected to the Seminary Major. In the square where it is located, its privileged views of the city are enhanced by the viewpoint. Declared a National Monument in 1910, the church also has the MASA - Museum of Sacred Art and Archeology - near its entrance. The Church of São Lourenço is an incomparable tourist attraction for those who seek to celebrate the history and art of Porto. Naturally, it is possible to get to the church on foot, but it is also worth visiting it by car to enjoy even better its picturesque views.
